OrdinancesAn Ordinance is a regulation (an authoritative rule) adopted by the Town Board of Trustees. Once an Ordinance is adopted, it is published; the Ordinance does not become effective for thirty (30) days after being published. During the thirty (30) day period, the public has the right to contest the recently adopted Ordinance. Providing there is no contest to the Ordinance, and the thirty (30) day time period has lapsed, the Ordinance becomes effective and is incorporated into the Municipal Code.
