Lamppost Garden volunteers are needed to adopt a Grand Avenue garden. Gardeners of all skill levels are encouraged to participate in this annual main street program; participants are asked to commit to the program throughout the year. Chamber of Commerce Volunteers: The Grand Lake Chamber of Commerce needs volunteers to man the Visitor's Center, volunteers to work at events (planning, implemtation and follow up). Board members and committee members are also needed. Committees include Finance, Marketing, Membership, Fundraising and Administration. Water Monitoring Volunteers: As a part of a multi-year project designed to develop lake-clarity standards, the Grand County Water Information Network (GCWIN) needs volunteers this summer to monitor lake clarity in Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Reservoir. If you love boating, this is your chance to help ensure our lakes remain clear and healthy. Monitoring can take less than an hour per week of your time and your help will be invaluable in aiding GCWIN to development a more accurate understanding of our lakes.
