Volunteer Opportunties in the Town of Grand Lake

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE TOWN OF GRAND LAKE:

Commissioner (Planning Commission): The Planning Commission meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of every month. More information on the Planning Commission can be found at http://www.townofgrandlake.com/planning-commission.htm.

§         Letters of interest will be accepted by the Town of Grand Lake; inquiries may be submitted to: glplanning@townofgrandlake.com.

§         Parties interested in submitting a letter of interest are encouraged to contact Town Hall staff, to attend Planning Commission meetings and to discuss the position with current Commissioners.

Alternate Board Member (Board of Adjustment): Although the Board of Adjustment has regularly scheduled meetings on the 3rd Thursday of every month, the meetings are often cancelled due to a lack of an agenda.  More information on the Board of Adjustment can be found at http://www.townofgrandlake.com/board-of-adjustment.htm.

3.   Cemetery Committee Member: Letters of interest for cemetery committee member shall be accepted by the Town of Grand Lake until the end of year, 2009. Committee members meet quarterly, or as needed. More information on the committee can be found at http://www.townofgrandlake.com/cemetery.htm. 4.   Gardener (Lamp Post Garden Adoption Program): The Lamp Post Garden Adoption Program has been created to put volunteer gardeners on Grand Avenue. Several boxes are available to community members.
