The Colorado State legislature passed, and the governor signed, House Bill 09-1091 (CRS 38-45-101 to 106) which requires carbon monoxide detectors in all single and multi family dwellings which have fuel-fired heaters or appliances. This law affects only those dwellings which are sold or transferred after July 1, 2009 and requires carbon monoxide detectors be installed (per the guidelines in the Bill) before such sale or transfer.

The law also affects all single or multiple family rental units, including nightly rentals, which have a change in tenants after July 1, 2009.

The Town of Grand Lake is seeking a volunteers for the local Greenways Committee, Zoning Board of Adjustment as well as for an Ad Hoc Committee focusing on waste disposal. Please contact Town Hall for more information.
