Headwaters Marina

Located across from Lakefront Park, just steps from the historic downtown boardwalk, the Headwaters Marina is proudly owned-and-operated by the Town of Grand Lake. The lake itself is most famous for being the largest and deepest natural water body in Colorado, covering more than 500 acres of surface area and plunging more than 300 feet deep. It is fed by the icy-cold headwaters of the Colorado River, which originates about 20 miles north of town in Rocky Mountain National Park. Visit the Headwaters Marina to explore the lake by boat, from guided tours to private rentals. Planning a special occasion or event? Let Captain Rick help make your lake visit more memorable! Contact the marina for details.

Have your own boat? The Town of Grand Lake maintains several public boat slips located next to the marina free of charge for day use only. Docking is prohibited from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. (See Ordinance 7-9-1 Boating Regulations for full details).

Kayak slips also available for seasonal rental!
