Facility Rentals

The Town of Grand Lake has several indoor and outdoor public facilities available to rent for public and private functions, including the Community House, Lakefront Park (upper & lower), Heckert Pavilion and the Town Park Gazebo.

The Grand Lake Center also has several event venues for rent including a gymnasium and several meeting rooms. For information on facility rentals at the Grand Lake Center, please visit their website.

Facility Rental Policies

  • Alcohol is NOT allowed in Town Parks. The Community House is the only facility that allows alcohol to be provided in the Community House during a private event. If alcohol is to be sold, please contact the Town Clerk to obtain a Liquor License

  • Any event open to the public will need to apply for a Special Event Permit (for a one-day event, the application must be submitted at least 30 days prior. If the special event is for more than one day or involves liquor consumption, the application must be submitted at least 90 days prior.

  • The applicant is responsible for leaving the facility in the same condition they received it. If the facility or structure is not properly cleaned, the Town will charge $50 per hour per staff member for additional cleaning

  • Time required for event setup, tear-down and cleaning must be included in chargeable rental time

  • Trash removal is the responsibility of the applicant. Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) trash bags are available for purchase at Town Hall, Mountain Food Market and the Grand Lake Center. You can learn more about trash and recycling in Grand Lake HERE

  • All caterers, rental companies or other event vendors are required to have a valid Town of Grand Lake business license.

  • Wedding parties may throw birdseed, but rice is NOT permitted.

  • Point Park, Triangle/Veteran's Park, Winter's Pioneer Park, and the west side of Lakefront Park (including the gazebo) are open to public use but cannot be reserved in advance.
