Grand Lake is currently under Level 1 Fire restrictions!

Headwaters Marina

Visit the Headwaters Marina to explore Grand Lake by boat on a guided tour or private charter!

***This marina does not take reservations for boat rentals--all rentals are first come, first serve!***

Located across from Lakefront Park, just steps from the historic downtown boardwalk, the Headwaters Marina is proudly owned-and-operated by the Town of Grand Lake. The lake itself is most famous for being the largest and deepest natural water body in Colorado, covering more than 500 acres of surface area and plunging more than 300 feet deep. It is fed by the icy-cold headwaters of the Colorado River, which originates about 20 miles north of town in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Bringing your own boat? The Town of Grand Lake provides several public boat slips located next to the marina free of charge for day use only. Docking is prohibited from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. (See Ordinance 7-9-1 Boating Regulations for full details). Grand Lake's public boat ramp is located at the East Inlet

Lakefront kayak slips are also available for seasonal rentals! Contact Town Hall at (970) 627-3435 for more information.
