Recreation

Uniquely situated on the shores of the majestic Grand Lake, Colorado's largest natural body of water, and near the headwaters of the Colorado River, which originates just a few miles away inside Rocky Mountain National Park, and the Town of Grand Lake offers access to a multitude of one-of-a-kind recreational activities and amenities. We are home to the world's highest-altitude registered yacht club, as well as the nation's highest-altitude golf course with grass greens. Grand Lake has been dubbed the "Snowmobile Capital of Colorado" due to having direct access to Colorado's largest network of groomed snowmobile trails in the surrounding Arapaho National Forest. The town also serves as the western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, and is an official Gateway Community to the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (CDT).  A year-round paradise for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds for more than 100 years, Grand Lake welcomes you!
